oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ
tát savitúr váreniyam
bhárgo devásya dhīmahi
dhíyo yó naḥ pracodáyāt
"Oh, Creator of the universe! We meditate upon thy supreme splendour. May thy radiant power illuminate our intellects, destroy our sins, and guide us in the right direction."
